    Helping Our Community

    Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club offers a warm, hospitable and engaging welcome, providing families with a place where children and parents/carers can have a hot, nutritious meal with their neighbours.

Breakfast Club provides an opportunity to build social networks and enables people from different cultures and backgrounds, who may not otherwise meet, to come together and form solid connections and friendships, thus strengthening the community in which they live and bringing about ongoing positive impact.

Free school meals uptake is very high and a lot of "holiday hunger” exists in the area, where low-income families struggle to eat healthily outside term time. We value our local community and engage with local supermarkets to use their surplus food to provide a hot meal and a free bag of food to take home for people experiencing food poverty.

    Community Building & Growth Opportunities

Community building and growth opportunities refer to strategies and initiatives that are designed to foster the growth and development of a community. This can include everything from building relationships with new members to creating opportunities for collaboration and engagement within the community.

Communication is key: Establishing clear communication channels and regularly engaging with members is key to building trust and creating a sense of community. This can be achieved through newsletters, social media, or online forums.

Volunteer Opportunities are essential: Offering volunteer opportunities within the community is a great way to empower members to contribute and feel invested in the growth of the community.

The Trustees, staff and volunteers would like to say a huge thank you to Morgan Sindall for their support, which will help us deliver hot food and a bag of shopping to between 80 and 100 people a week.
