“Breakfast Club has always been so supportive, with friendly faces and kind hearts. Getting breakfast here is so helpful, especially when times are hard, and it’s wonderful for the community – it feels like a family.”
“I don’t get to go often but, when I do, I love it. Such a welcoming setting. It’s great to see the same faces but just as good to see new people coming along too. It’s nice to have a chance to have a chat, a cuppa and a nice bit of food together with some people I don’t get to see often since I’ve been working. I like that we get to work in partnership with Splott Community Volunteers and us at Oasis. We help with gifting Breakfast Club things like bacon, sausages, tea bags and cereal and then, when Breakfast Club is over, the leftover bread and vegetables get delivered to Oasis.
It’s lovely to work together.”

“I like coming here every Thursday. It’s good company and a very good breakfast. It gets me out on my day off from work. The staff are nice and there is a variety of stuff to take home.”Paul Hobbs
“Me and my kids we all like to come to the breakfast. They enjoy the breakfast, they like come here and taste different things and the people join together in one table. Also I don’t need cooking. Many thanks.”Liga Harjo
“I am coming every Thursday 8am in the morning because the breakfast very well and the staff are very helpful and nice because they provide us good and hot breakfast. Sure they will continue.”

"I come each Thursday because in my present circumstances the Thursday Breakfast Club gives me the only hot cooked breakfast that I have each week (as distinct from sometimes cereal with hot water and milk). Also, there is usually crusty bread to take away, also crusty rolls.......Also, there is fruit to take away often, recently, whole pineapples! One Thursday, jars of fig syrup from Iraq! As well as the food, I like to people-watch, meet people I’ve never met before, faces I don’t see elsewhere. It gets me out......."

Special thanks to Father Sebastian of the Cardiff Oratory at St. Albans Church for his kind donation.
Two of our loyal volunteers, Dave & Lorraine, busy packing bags which then delivered by Fred & Angela.
Helen Taylor not only ran 2 marathons in January but raised £460 for Splott Community Volunteers at the same time. Thank you Helen, this will go a long way to provide food for those in the community who are in need.
Thank you to the Splott Community for supporting our project when you shop with the Co-op!! You are helping us to take a chunk out of hunger. Bless you all. xxx
